PowerPlay Fields ("PowerPlay," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website
powerplayfields.com and the PowerPlay mobile and
progressive web app (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes what
personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By
using the Service you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
Account details: name, email address, phone number, password (if you sign up with email/password), and profile photo.
Organizer / facility-owner details: business or facility name, mailing address, identity verification data required by our payment processor (Stripe) when you sign up to receive payouts.
Game and booking content: games you create or join, players you invite, messages you send within match chat or direct messages, ratings, and reviews.
Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe — PowerPlay does not store full card numbers. We do receive transaction metadata (amount, status, last 4 digits of card, payment intent ID) so we can show your booking history and process refunds.
Communications: emails, support requests, and feedback you send us.
1.2 Information collected automatically
Device and log data: device model, operating system version, app version, IP address, and crash logs.
Usage data: screens viewed, features used, approximate session length — primarily through Firebase Analytics.
Push notification tokens: if you opt in to push notifications, we store an FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) token bound to your device so we can send alerts about your games and bookings.
Location: we do not request your device's GPS location. Game and facility addresses you enter are geocoded to coordinates so we can show them on a map.
1.3 Information from third parties
Google Sign-In: if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from your Google account.
Stripe: for organizers and facility owners, Stripe shares onboarding and payout status (e.g., whether your account is approved to receive payments).
2. How We Use Your Information
Create and maintain your account and verify your identity.
Process bookings, payments, refunds, and wallet credits.
Send push notifications you have opted in to receive.
Display games, rosters, facility listings, and chat messages to the appropriate participants.
Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
Improve the Service — diagnose crashes, measure feature usage, and develop new features.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information.
Other users of the Service: your display name, profile photo, and any games you join are visible to other participants. Organizers can see the roster of their own games.
Legal requests: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PowerPlay, our users, or the public.
Business transfers: if PowerPlay is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to the same protections in this policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your
account, we delete your profile, game history, and personal details. We may retain some
records (such as payment receipts and tax-related transaction logs) for the period required
by applicable law, typically up to seven (7) years.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Access and update: you can view and update your profile at any time in the app.
Delete your account: use the "Delete Account" option in your profile settings. This is permanent — wallet credits are forfeited and login is removed.
Opt out of marketing: we currently send only transactional email related to your bookings and account; there is no marketing list to opt out of.
Push notifications: control these from your device's system settings.
EU / UK residents (GDPR): you have rights to access, rectify, erase, port, and object to processing of your personal data. Email us to exercise these rights.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing." We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at
rest on our cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud), Firebase Security Rules to restrict
database access, and least-privilege secrets management for payment credentials. No method
of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly
collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided
us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Users
PowerPlay is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the
United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and
processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your
country.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the
"Effective date" at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in the app or
by email. Continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes
acceptance of the updated policy.
